In an ever-increasing electronic world with a burgeoning bureaucracy we thought it might be time to enlist the Internet to monitor, track and report on issues of interest to some or most of the population. Walkerton, the Toronto Computer Scandal and the like have shown us that not only is there corruption at the higher levels of bureaucracy but also at the very lowest. It seems to be a monster reporting to no one, fraught with incompetence and incapable of delivering even the lowest level of service without excessive costs, overruns and complaints or threat of strike. The answer for two of our three parties seems to be to increase your taxes, spend your dollars and ignore the fact that there is a role for free enterprise in this society. Out sourcing shouldn't be a question of maybe or open to debate but a realistic check on the public system. A return to volunteerism would be good for the country and also good for the soul. As our great population ages nothing could be more rewarding then to simply help others, without payment other than a smile and a thank you at the same time helping reduce the cost of bureaucracy.

As the dark blanket of communism is lifting from the Soviet Union and China it appears to be descending on Europe, Canada and the free world in general. Khrushchev told Kennedy that he would bury the free world and with the help of Terrorism, a guise under which we put in people controls, it would appear that his prediction will be realized in the not too distant future. He and other tyrants in history understood that an armed, free people could never be enslaved, as do the majority of those hiding behind the mask of socialism. He seems to also have understood that socialist states would shed the weight of totalitarianism and the free would inherit the coat.

Look around, hiring criteria has become one of quota rather than competence, tax systems have become a job creation based vote purchasing system rather than service oriented infrastructure delivery and our daily lives have become one of fear rather than freedom. Giving out the facts, verbally or in writing, is not a hate crime or act of sedition, preying on the poor and disadvantaged is. A free society cannot be governed by fear or the constant threat of shutting down essential services, both are inexcusable. We seem to be in denial, but the end of denial is reality and reality is better faced sooner rather than later.
